Finishing Touch was started by Red Stick Sports in the spring of 2004 as a production facility to embroider and screen print the athletic apparel that Red Stick Sports was selling to Schools and Teams all over South Louisiana. In the fall of 2004 Finishing Touch merged with Mona Ragan’s business, Monagram Wearhouse, and then opened the doors for walk-in traffic on November 1, 2004. Then, in the summer of 2005 Finishing Touch merged with Anthony Monceaux’s ShirtWorks, creating the current team we continue to work with today.
As the business grew over the next couple of years we added more embroidery machines and screening equipment, and the need arose for the screen printing operation to move. So, in December 2007 we moved all of our Screen Printing and Heat Pressing operations into their current building on Cedar Park off of Siegen Lane.
Currently, Finishing Touch has 20 heads of embroidery operated by a staff of 8, with over 40 years of experience in the embroidery business. And 1 automatic screen printing machine, 2 manuals, and 1 number press operated by a staff of 10, with over 30 years of experience in the screening business.
In addition to producing finished garments for all the customers we sell to, Finishing Touch works closely with the LSU Athletic Department to finish many of the uniforms the Tigers and Lady Tigers use in their various competitions. As well as producing and finishing most of the practice gear they use when getting ready for those competitions.
